Tony Appleglise, 80, of Box 168, Athelstane, the Town of Stephenson, died Thursday afternoon at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. He was born in Pueblo, Colo., Feb. 16, 1907. He moved with his family to the Town of Stephenson at the age of 9. he farmed there until his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Crivitz. He married the former Frances Kahles Nov. 18, 1939, in Crivitz. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dominic and Tony Jr., both of the Town of Stephenson; two daughters, Betty Bemis of Crivitz and Donna Appleglise of Marinette; a sister, Bonnie Mass of Hartshorne, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and a great grandson. A son, Peter, two sisters and one brother, died previously. Friends may call at Morasky-Messar Funeral Home, Wausaukee, from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A parish vigil will be held at 7:30. Final rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. The Rev. Donald Burkart will officate. Family and friends will meet at the church Monday at 10:15. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
