Grafford Aubrey Cobb, 79, of Powderly, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, at his home.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18th, at Providence Cemetery with Jeff Blanton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cobb, the son of Robert Grafford Cobb & Bonnie B. Meeks Cobb, was born March 19, 1934, in Paris.
On April 29, 1954, he married Mincie Lee Smith, building 58 years of family and memories before her death on July 29, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his father, R. G. Cobb, his mother, Bonnie Dye, brother-in-law, Gary Cochran and father-in-law & mother-in-law, Charlie & Ruth Smith.

He was a member of the Red River Valley Quail Club Association and enjoyed training birddogs in his spare time. His career with the Paris Fire Department spanned 37 years before his retirement in 1994.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Cobb & wife Cindy and Gerald Cobb & wife Terri all of Reno, grandchildren, Brian, Christopher, Matthew, Evan, and Clint, great-grandchildren, Taylan and Kaleb, brother, Jerry Smallwood & wife Joyce of Paris, sister, Barbara Cochran of Powderly along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Honorary casket bearers will be: Brian Cobb, Clint Cobb, Matthew Cobb, Don Ensey, Art Scharlach, Danny Wisely, Gary Cook and Troy Gordon.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Premier Home Health, Amber & staff and to caregivers, Willie Spencer & Sharon Mullens.
