Lucile was born on Dec. 3, 1913, in Oakville, Iowa, to Herschel and Ruby Trimmer Kemp. She married Charles W. Dillenbeck on Dec. 28, 1940, in Lexington, Ill. He preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1969, in Peoria, Ill.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Roger) Van Zandbergen; three grandsons, Curt (Polly) Hagey and Chris (Jodi) Dillenbeck and Matt (Brooke) Dillenbeck; two granddaughters, Anita (Brad) Madden and Noel (Brian) Schuman; and her seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, two brothers and one son, Leonard Dillenbeck.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of East Peoria, where she was active in the Naomi & Rachel Fellowships, as well as the food pantry, for many years. She was also a member of East Peoria Women's Club, a member of Central City Chapter 42 Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years, worked in Cub Scouts for three years, volunteered in East Peoria's Festival of Lights and walked in Relay For Life.
