Daughter of Samuel Haycraft of Elizabethtown. Margaret married fellow Elizabethtown native and future Arizona Territory representative Charles D. Poston in September 1848 and the couple had daughter, Sarah Lee Poston. Margaret Poston became paralyzed on February 12, 1851 and was cared for by relatives until her death from cancer on February 26, 1884.
