Uncle Al and family returned [from Salem, Oregon] to Marion, and lived over on Race St. about a block and a half from the Heavilin homeplace. He worked with Grandpa George S. Heavilin and [my dad] Mac in the carpentry business. I have some good stories of some funny things that happened during those years.....Al's son Clayton was called Red, because of his hair, gave our family a goat at one time. He was married a couple times, and his son in California took on a different family name. [His stepfather's]
