George B. Addleman, 79, of Curwensville, PA died Friday, February 25, 2005 at the Clearfield Hospital.

Born May 18, 1925 in Curwensville, he was the son of George L. and Margaret (Malloy) Addleman.

He had worked for and was a partner in the Addleman & Witherow Auto body for 7 years, had worked for the former Clearfield Equipment Company for 22 years and became owner/operator of Addleman Auto body for 14 years.

He was a member of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon of the church and was a former member of the Curwensville American Legion.

He was a WW II US Army Veteran having served in the Military Police.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Ann (Pittman) Addleman whom he married August 15, 1944, three daughters Patricia A. Ross and her fiancee William Sass and Nancy L. Hipps and her husband Robert both of Curwensville and Donna M. Straw and her husband Gerald of Middlefield, OH and a son Lloyd B. Addleman and his wife Kathy of Curwensville, twelve grandchildren Greg Ross, Chad Ross, Randy Ross, Jamie Ross, Mike Hipps, Nena (Hipps) Davis, Gerald Straw, Jr., David Straw, Lloyd Addleman, Jr., Chassidy Addleman, Samantha Addleman and Calvin Addleman, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

having been preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Fred and Clyde Addleman and a sister Helen Stewart.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield with Mr. Gary B. Jewart officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Crest Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of services. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by members of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and VFW Post #1785 Honor Squad.
