Mrs. Ella May Ottney, 77, of 4064 Rhodes Ave., New Boston, wife of Fred Ottney, died in Mercy Hospital at 1:20 a. m. today.

A native of Scioto Furnace, she was born Feb 8, 1879, a daughter of John and Margaret Sprague Artis.

Mrs. Ottney was a member of New Boston Methodist Church, Daughters of America, Degree of Pocahontas, the Rebekah's, and the Relief Corps of the GAR.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ottney is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Helen Wagner. 4237 Cedar St., New Boston, Mrs. John Payton, 3833 Rhodes Ave., New Boston, Mrs. John Giles of Portsmouth, Rt 6, and Mrs. Wilfred Sheridan, 4319 Rhodes Ave, New Boston.

Also surviving are 5 sons, George of Norfolk, Va., Frank of Sciotoville Rt. 2, Charles, 4239 Cedar St., New Boston, and Kenneth, 4378 Rhodes Ave., New Boston; 19 grandchildren and a great-grandchild

Mrs. Ottney was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters.
