Born March 23, 1918, in Annisville, she was the daughter of George and Marie Robb Young.
She was a Protestant and frequently attended the Grace Baptist Church in Warren, Ohio.
Mrs. Young was a foster grandparent with the Head Start Program of Butler County, working in both the Butler and the Moniteau program in Boyers.
Surviving are two daughters, Connie Emery of Warren, Ohio, and Ethel Slaughenhaupt of Petrolia; two sons, Gary Young of Ridgeville and Donald E. Young of Washington Township; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Lee E. Young, died March 27, 1976. She also was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
YOUNG - Friends of Vivian M. Young, who died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, Main Street, Route 38, Eau Claire. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev Kathleen Soltis, pastor of Bethel United Methodist Church in Eau Claire, officiating. Burial Interment will be at Eau Claire Cemetery.
