Services will be held, Wednesday, January 29th, 2014 at 2 Pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery at Byers, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28th from 6-8 Pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Services are entrusted to Sullivan Funeral Home of Vernon.
Hoyt was born January 13, 1922 at Gainesville Georgia to Henry Lee and Ruth Truelove Ellis.

He was in the Army Air Corps during World War II stationed in Italy.
Hoyt married Audrey Muriel Hundley February 6, 1944 in Clayton New Mexico.
He surrendered to the ministry in 1945 and attended Wayland Baptist College.
Hoyt was in the ministry for 55 years at Churches around Hollis Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle and retired in 1999. He and Muriel were faithful servants and touched the lives of many people. They were still active in service to others after his retirement.

He was a bi-vocational pastor and worked in car dealerships and was part owner of Ellis-Stewart Agri-Spray business in Hollis.

Hoyt is survived by a loving family whom he was devoted to : daughter, Judy Lemons and husband Walter of Wichita Falls, son, Bob Ellis and wife Ellen of Grove, Oklahoma, two brothers, Lewis Ellis and wife Tula of Pampa, Texas, Leon Ellis and wife Fay of Hobbs, New Mexico, two sisters , Cora Belle Mann of Checotah, Oklahoma and Willie Nell Stacy of Tulsa, Oklahoma;
Five grandchildren, Kent Lemons and wife Kim of Memphis, Texas, Julie McKelvey and spouse Larry of Angel Fire, New, Mexico, Amy Lemons and significant other Jaimie Scott of Plano, Texas, Brandi Knoll and spouse James of Bushland, Texas and David Hill of Grove, Oklahoma, Eleven great grandchildren, Jorden Lemons of Memphis, Texas, Landrey Lemons and spouse Carly of Wichita Falls, Texas, Paden Lemons of Wichita Falls, Texas, Rylen Lemons of Memphis, Texas, Meaghan Ervin and husband Chris of Holliday, Texas, Michael Moore of Mesquite,Texas,
Blaine Gilmore of Mesquite, Texas, and Allie Scott of Plano,Texas
Kaylee Knoll of Lubbock, Texas, Kody Knoll of Bushland, Texas and Kendall Knoll of Bushland, Texas.

One great- great- grandchild, Kinley Ervin of Holliday, Texas.
One sister-in-law, Beth Levell of Wichita Falls, Texas and one brother-in-law Aubrey Hundley and wife Mary Ann of Fort Worth, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one grandson.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, Hospice of Wichita Falls, or Riverside Cemetery of Byers, Texas.
