Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, November 29, 2013, at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Interment will take place following the visitation at Pauli Cemetery, rural Dewey, MN.
Orpha (Bernhardson) Wolff was born on May 24, 1927 in Strandquist, MN, the daughter of Jonas and Esther (Gustafson) Bernhardson. She attended country school near Strandquist.
As she grew to adulthood Orpha worked for various farmers.
Orpha was united in marriage to William Wolff. Together they purchased a farm in Pelan Township between Karlstad and Greenbush. They farmed for 68 years, then moving in to Greenbush. When William passed away, Orpha moved to Thief River Falls to be near her son, Wayne. She has resided at Oakland Park Communities since 2010.
Orpha loved taking long walks, gardening, canning – especially her famous blueberry sauce, and being a homemaker.
Orpha is survived by her son, Wayne of Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren, David Wolff and Matthew Wolff; nephew, Mark (Debbie) Bernhardson of Cloquet, MN; niece, Linda (Ron) LaMie from the Northwest Angle in MN; Good Friend, Ruth Austad of Thief River Falls; several great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; sister, Ida Bruce and brother, Donald Bernhardson.
