Lamesa - Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church for M. E. Boren, 87, who died Wednesday. Interment will be in Lamesa Memorial Park. A retired banker, he was the brother of three Scurry County residents. He was born Oct. 13, 1895, and had been a resident of Lamesa since 1919. He had been a vicepresident with the First National Bank in Lamesa prior to his retirement. Survivors include two daughters, Louise Curry of Sun City, Ariz., and Dorothy Sham of Lubbock; one brother, Cecil J. He married Caryl Lewis in 1936. She died in 1977. Survivors include two daughters, Helen Curry of Sun City, Ariz., and Dorothy Sharb of Lubbock; three sisters, Mrs. W. F, Mathis and Mrs. Virgie Wills, both of Fluvanna, and Mrs. J. C. Ross of Lubbock; a brother, Cecil of Snyder; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
