Edwin B. Barnum, 60 years old, veteran Des Moines insurance man, died at his home Saturday afternoon. Mr. Barnum started in the insurance business here thirty years ago. At the time of his death he was state agent for the farm department of the Niagara Fire Insurance company. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal church Tuesday at 10 a. m. The Rev. Elmer Nelson Owen, pastor of St. Paul's church will have charge of the. services. Burial will be at Oskaloosa, Iowa. Mr. Barnum was born in Des Moines and has lived here all of his life. He was married to Virginia Duke of Oskaloosa, Ia., in 1888. He had one son, Edwin, who died during the World War at Camp Merritt on Feb. 12, 1919. Mr. Barnum was a member of Capital Lodge Masons.
