Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Myers Funeral Home in Worthington for Joseph Martin Rankins, who passed away at 6:00 o'clock Tuesday, at the home of a son in Linton. Mr. Rankins was born December 8, 1860, the son of Hiram and Mary Jane (NORRIS) RANKINS. His wife, America (SIEVER) RANKINS, preceded him in death November 18, 1918. He was a member of the Christian church at La Russell, Missouri. Survivors include a son, John RANKINS, of Linton; five daughters, Maggie RAWLEY, of Worthington; Mrs. Minnie WALTERS, of Worthington R. 3; Mrs. Myrtle WILSON of Champaign, Illinois; Mrs. Ada GRAY, of Vancouver, Washington, and Mrs. Ella BIVENS, of Urbana, Illinois; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Martha HUTCHISON, of Sullivan, and Mrs. Ella ROSE, of Worthington. The body lies in state at the Myers Funeral Home, and burial will be made in Dutch Bethel Cemetery, north of Worthington.
