The photograph is Mrs. Graves daughter, Florida Graves; Florida married with Edward Devereux Smith. The photograph was taken at the time she had a "season" at Washington under the patronage of Mrs. John Hollis Bankhead. In addition to being a "Great Beauty", Florida was also an accomplished violinist. With her two sisters, the trio was popularly known as "The Three Graces of Waverly Place", Waverly Place having been a subdivision at Birmingham developed by her father, the showplace of the development being the Graves mansion. )
