William Allison Walker was born February 16, 1839, son of Mary Allison and Benjamin H. Walker. He died fighting for the Union (21st Regiment, PA Vol. Cavalry) in the Civil War
probably at the skirmish at Winchester, VA.
from a member 2016:
Regarding William Walker, registers for the 21st cavalry show he died while on sick furlough, not in a skirmish in Winchester, VA.I believe William fathered a child and is a direct ancestor, so I would LIKE to believe he died in battle, but I believe this is disproven here. You can also say he was in Company E.
