The youngest of 10 siblings, Hilah was named after her Aunt Hilah Ann who died 2 months after birth.
Her first marriage was about 1939 to Robert Harris Brashear which ended in divorce several years later. She became a nurse and worked in a two room home converted to a hospital in Grayson, KY where she delivered her only child, later adopted by Calvin Nall. She married Calvin Nall in 1949 and he had 2 young sons whom she helped raise; Michael and James (Sandy).
She was a very social person and loved life and her grandchildren.
