Mrs. Mildred Joyce Watts, age 82, Chandler, passed away suddenly on Thursday June 12, 2014, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Arils Watts.
The funeral will be at 1:30 on Tuesday June 17, 2014, at Westlake Baptist Church Chandler with Bro. Lee Evans officiating. Following the service, private burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family will be from 6 to 8 Monday, June 16, 2014, at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Watts was born in Logansport, La., on July 13, 1931. She was a homemaker and longtime active member of Westlake Baptist Church, serving most recently as secretary of her Sunday school class.
Survivors include son, Bobby R. Ekers (Lisa), of Clarksville, Tenn.; daughter, Phyllis Calk (Ronald), of Shreveport, La.; stepsons, Jerry Don "Donnie" Watts (Patricia), James A. "Tony" Watts (Marsha), all of Big Sandy.
Grandchildren include Mrs. Erin Thiem (Chris), of Bullard, Josh Calk (Milea), of Shreveport, La., Jeff Calk (Kristin), of Longview, Nathan Watts (Dr. Katie), Kyle Watts, Michael Watts (Breanne), Brian Eric Watts (Amanda) and Andrew Charles Watts.
Great-grandchildren include Mary Madelyn (Maddie) Thiem, Casten Calk, Tatum Calk, Brady Watts and Kyleen Watts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westlake Baptist Church, 1439 Farm-to-Market Road 315 Chandler, 75758.
