Hazel worked as a Harvey Girl in New Mexico and Kansas as a young woman. She married Dr. Thomas E Lund, D.C., of Kansas. Many of the Bellows family members benefited from Tom's chiropractic care over the years. Tom was a WWI veteran. Hazel and Tom had three daughters. They lived in Kansas, Illinois, Wyoming, Michigan, and Iowa. Hazel worked for Ford Motor Company in a WWII defense plant, while Tom was a top physiotherapist in the Dearborn, MI, Veterans Hospital. They farmed in Iowa for some years following the war. Then Tom returned to a chiropractic practice in Elgin, IL, while Hazel ran a rest home there. They were both musically talented, playing saxophones in a community and a church band. Hazel played the piano as well.
