Carter W. Murphy
78, of Lexington, KY formerly of Ezel, Kentucky passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on January 7, 1936 the son of the late Monroe and Juanita Johnson Murphy. He was a self employed furniture upholsterer, a member of the Pine Grove Church, and a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Air Force. He was the widower of Wilma Chomos Murphy.

He is survived by one son, Jeffery Carter Murphy of Clay City, KY; two daughters, June Evelyn Crawford of Lexington, KY and Joyce Karen Hall of Ezel, KY; three brothers, Roger Murphy and Logan Murphy both of Wellington, KY and Harold Murphy of Deputhnth, VA. Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Frenchburg with burial following in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday evening from 6-9 PM at the Taul Funeral Home.
