Me. Wehry was a carpenter and was classed among the expert stair builders in Rockford. He was employed by the Rockford Builders Supply Co.
Stairways in many of Rockford's large business blocks were built under Mr. Wehry's supervision.
He was born in November, 1848, at Heplers, Pa. He had been a resident of Rockford eighteen years, moving here from Cedar Rapids, Ia. He is survived by one son, Oscar H. Wehry, with whom he lived, and by several sisters and brothers in Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at his late home. The Rev. O. Garfield Beckstrand, assistant of the Rev. H. M. Bannon of Trinity Luthern church, will officiate. Mrs. Fred Carlson and Mrs. Chester McFarland will sing. Interment will be in the West Side Cemetery.
