Davis was born March 15, 1918, in Lamar, Mo., to Moody and Pearl Galyan Davis. He married Marjorie Flesher on June 6, 1938, in Orville, Calif. She died in 1999.
He worked as a building contractor for 35 years, as a home builder. He also had helped build three churches.
He had served as a church deacon and usher and enjoyed travel. He belonged to New Life Center.
Survivors include a son, Gene of Tempe, Ariz.; two sisters, Flossie Rayburn of Charleston, Ore., and Edna McCulloch of Missouri; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, Jerel B. Davis, died in 1961.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield. Thursday's service will be at 1 p.m. at New Life Center in Springfield. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.
