Life Legacy

Anna Mae Vicich, 86, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Tuesday September 2, 2014 at Edwards Hospital in Naperville, Il.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 5, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa with Rev. Tony Fevio officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday Sept 4, 2014 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.

Anna Mae was born April 4, 1928, in Miller Township, Illinois, to Clarence and Bernice (Hoie) Wignes. She married Joseph R. Vicich on November 22, 1955, at St. Patrick’s Church. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2002. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, and also the Parents’ Club and Mothers’ Club at St. Patrick School.

She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn (Philip “Scott”) Carretto of Marseilles and Patricia (Larry) Hake of Sandwich; one son, Joseph P. (Nadine) Vicich of Ottawa; seven grandchildren, Adam Joseph Hake, Brett Lewis Hake, LeighAnn Marie Hake, Melissa Grieves, Jeremy Grieves, Claire Marie Vicich, and Joseph Jacob Vicich; two great grandchildren; one brother, Lyle (Mary) Wignes of Rural Marseilles; and one sister, Evelyn Wignes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one sister, Carole Connor.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Grieves, Adam Hake, Brett Hake, Joe Vicich, Clifford Wignes, Robert Stone, Robert Vicich, and Richard Vicich.

Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick’s Church or Marquette Academy.
