LeRoy M. Davidson, 84, Moorhead, MN, died on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

LeRoy was born on January 8, 1930, in Buxton, ND, to Nicholas and Bertha (Wold) Davidson. He grew up and attended school in Buxton and Arvilla, ND and then farmed with his parents at Bemidji, MN, and worked as a logger. LeRoy married Evelyn Aune on August 5, 1950 at Thief River Falls, MN. He worked for a time in Chicago and then worked in line construction around the upper Midwest, living where the work would take him. In 1961 he went to work for NSP as a lineman and line foreman, and they made their home in Moorhead, MN, where he worked for thirty years, retiring in November of 1990. LeRoy had been a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead since the early sixties. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He cherished his family and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. LeRoy was a great storyteller, with a keen sense of humor and was known for his ability to hold a room with his stories. He had breakfast with friends at the Fryn' Pan Restaurant in Fargo every day for many years. He enjoyed rebuilding collector cars and joined the Valley Vintage Car Club in the early 1980's.
