I am your sweet Daisy Girl --- and will forever be Your Guiding Angel

For My Son Christopher Michael

Daisy was was Chris's sweet dog who died

I know that you are missing me...
Tears trickle down your face.
Please don't grieve that much for me
For I'm in a Heavenly place.

There are meadows here to run in,
With many a creature to chase.
There are dogs and squirrels to play with...
An extraordinary spectacular place.

The colors are so vibrant here,
The air so clean and fresh...
The water is the sweetest here...
So pure in smell and taste.

Brother "Little Man" was here to greet me -
A smile upon his face.
We barked and licked each other
Then embarked upon a race.

It was fun to see the family -
All are gathered here.
They asked me many questions,
I lended them my ear.

It was everything I hoped it be,
A pleasant, restful retreat.
A dream come true for me I know -
A vision so complete.

So ... Please don't worry 'bout me,
My spirit is light and free.
No more pain doth plague me,
I'm vibrant again you see.

I'm watching over you...
with Grandma Betty by my side,
We'll protect you day and night
With joint efforts we'll abide.

My time with you will never end
For this one truth I know,
That families are forever
In one eternal glow.

So dry your eyes dear Christopher
You have much more life to plan.
Work hard, serve all, and stay the path
Until we meet again!

From: Chris's Momma written when her son, Chris, was so distraught. This earthly life is but a speck in time of all eternity.

Daisy was adopted with her brother, Little Man, from the Dallas Animal Shelter in Dallas, Texas. She was given to Chris in September of 2000 and was approximately 6 months in age.

Her brother went to live with a friend of Chris. This twin brother and sister saw much of each other for the first three to four years of their lives until Chris moved to another state. Her brother, Little Man, died as a result of a automobile accident a few years ago.

Chris had been fearful of dogs resulting from a dog injury when he was in elementary school. Daisy was gentle and kind and endearing and drew everyone to her including Chris. His fear of dogs subsided due to the gentle disposition of this sweet animal.

He fell in love with her sweet nurturing ways and grew to feel comfortable around dogs. She was his constant companion for 14 years and had even gone to work with him on the Sunday that she died. After work, Chris visited a friend whose dog bit Daisy piercing her skull resulting in severe brain trauma. It was a terrible accident. Chris had taken her to work with him that morning since he had been putting in a lot of overtime every weekend. She was still a vibrant and happy dog. That very morning, Daisy had jumped on top of his desk at work happy to be with Chris and thrilled to be by his side. She could jump and bark and acted very much a younger dog when this tragedy struck her. It was a shock.

Chris raced to the Veterinarian's Office, but the damage had been done.

Daisy drifted gently into Heavenly Sleep at 6:35 PM Eastern Time, Sunday, 21 September 2014 in Boynton Beach, Florida as her loving owner, Christopher Michael, held her tight. She nuzzled her nose into his chest as she fell fast asleep.

May God bless her spirit forever.

She was a rare find amongst all the living creatures on this Earth.

We were blessed to have known her. We will never forget her excited bark or her loving eyes.

We feel the world is little less a place because she is no longer in it.

Her light beamed brightly...her selfless acts enduring. Her light continues to burn on the other side we are sure.

We lament our loss. Grief has no end to lose a life so cherished.
