Mrs. J. A. Crawley, formerly Miss Erna Lower, age 25 years, died Sunday morning at her home in Rush Hill, Missouri. Her death was caused by child birth. The child was the first and died the day before.
Mrs. Crawley was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Lower and was raised in the Lancaster neighborhood. She moved with her parents to Effingham and attended the high school here. graduating with the class of 1904, a class of thirty, and hers is the first death in the class history.
She is survived by her husband and parents and two sisters and a brother, all living at Rush Hill.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at Ladonia, Missouri.
Mrs. Crawley was and exceptionally fine young woman and had a large number of friends in Effingham and vicinity.
