Leona had been a resident of the area all of her life. She was a homemaker and member of the Cave Springs Church in Elsey, Mo,
Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Brown,her parents, a son Tom Patrick, and two daughters, Peggy Winsea and Ada Nalley.
Survivors include: her daughter, Rita Hoyer of Monett: a sister Mamie Tallman of Peculiar, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 31 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Oct.29, 2014 from 10:30 a.m-11:a.m. Services followed at 11:30 a.m. in Manlove-Stumpff Chapel with Tom Maples officiating. Burial is in Crane Community Cemetery under direction of Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home of Crane.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Cancer Society.
