Deceased Name:ROBERT D. OLLOM
85, of Ravenna passed away Tuesday July 6, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. He was born June 26, 1925 in Cleveland to the late Frank and Ida Mae (nee Tuttle) Ollom.
Mr. Ollom lived in Ravenna the past 28 years and was a retired truck driver. He was a lifetime member of the Ravenna VFW Post 1055, the DAV and the Ravenna American Legion Post 331, where he was past commander. He served as a Turret Gunner on the USS Cabot with the U.S. Navy during W.W. II.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years Brona L. (nee Winford) Ollom; sons Robert (Diane) Ollom of Medina, and Mark (Pauline) Ollom of Parma; step son James (Janet) Bate of McCloud, OK; step daughter LuDonna (Tim) Rickman of Jefferson, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and his beloved pets Pixie and Corkie. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Rathz, sister Marie Asbury and step son Ron Bate.
CALLING HOURS WILL BE 6-8 P.M. FRIDAY, JULY 9, 2010 AT SHORTS-SPICER-CRISLIP FUNERAL HOMES RAVENNA CHAPEL, where funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday with Fr. James Lang officiating.
