Services for Roy James, 62, of Waterproof, LA who died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Waterproof,LA.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez, MS under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time Monday, December 1, at the church.
Mr. James was born March 26, 1952, in Natchez, the son of Mr. Roy James and Mrs. Ruth James.
Mr. James graduated from Waterproof High School where he was Valedictorian . He graduated from Louisiana State University, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was a member of St.Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Waterproof, LA.
He was a cooking enthusiast, who loved sharing his passion with family and friends. He loved history, LSU football, and all football. Above all, he loved people, and it was his friends and family who brought the most happiness to him.
Mr. James was preceded in death by his mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Roy James Sr.
Survivors include one brother, Danny James; four children, Ashton James and wife Elizabeth James; son, Connor James and wife Kristen James ; two daughters Kelly James and Caroline James; three grandchildren, Bennett James, Eleanor James, and Adeline James; one nephew, Danny James Jr.; three nieces, Amanda James, Mitsy Murphy, and Mary Elizabeth Martin.
Pallbearers will be Joe James, Orrin James, Jay James, Frank Huff, Bobby James , Phillip James, Mac Bullock, and Richard Leet.
