Vivian Nadine Adkins, daughter of the late Luther Lee and Nora Alice Riddle Brown, was born in Bernie, Missouri, on December 19, 1916, and passed away at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on December 1, 2014, at the age of 97 years, 11 months, and 12 days.
Mrs. Adkins had lived in Dexter most of her life. She was a member of the White Oak Grove General Baptist Church and had attended Friendship Baptist in Dexter, Missouri.
On July 31, 1932, she was married to Raymond V. Adkins in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1982.
Surviving are one son & wife, Jim & Jeri Adkins of Dexter; one daughter, Judy Gregory of Dexter; four grand children; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob Brown of Poplar Bluff, and Jerry Brown of Dexter. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may visit Thursday, December 4, 2014, after 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Lonnie Mittag of Dexter, Missouri officiating.
Interment with be in the Smith Stevenson Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
