Otis Dymond, a lifelong resident of rural Adel, died of a heart attack Thursday, November 19, 1981. He was 82.

He was born to George and Lydia Cleveland Dymond at Rural Route 1, Adel, December 11, 1898. He lived and farmed in the same area all of his life. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Adel.

Dymond was married to Pearl M. Beane December 31, 1919 in Des Moines. She died December 5, 1965. Also preceding Otis in death were a grandson, James Dymond; five brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by three children, Hazel Liston of Pocahontas, Harold Dymond of Adel and Shirley Webber of Denison; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
