He was married to Susan Letitia (Schlotterbeck) Bierly on December 25, 1912 in Eaton, Preble County, Ohio, whom he shares a headstone with. To this union, three children were born: Ruth Marie (Bierly) Kehr, Harold Eugene Bierly, and Janet Louise Bierly.
His died a the Eaton Care Center; cause of death was listed as Cardio/Respiratory Failure. Interment was November 27, 1978.

Everett J. Bierly, 86, of 413 Horn St., Lewisburg, died Thursday evening at the Eaton Care Center after a lengthy illness.
He was a lifetime member of the Lewisburg community and of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lewisburg. Before retiring in 1976, he owned and operated Bierly's Sales and Service Station in Lewisburg. He sold Texaco petroleum products for more than 30 years.
In addition to his business, he had been active in community and civic affairs, serving several terms on the village council and board of public affairs. A member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Lewisburg, he had also been Preble County Draft Board chairman for seven years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue, in 1973.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marie Kehr, and Mrs. Janet Emerick, both of Lewisburg; one son, Harold Bierly, of Piqua; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. (sic/Mr.) Bierly were held Monday at the Krammer-Moeller-Barnes Funeral Home, Lewisburg, with the Rev. Richard R. Crosby and the Rev. Charles Messener officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg.
The family received friends Sunday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
