Bob G. Griffith, 76, of Springfield, Missouri, died at 3:05 pm, Monday, March 16, 2015 at his home. He was born January 29, 1939 in Eureka, Kentucky to Robert and Vinie (Clark) Griffith.
Bob was a 1956 graduate of Wabash High School. He married Marilyn Salyers in Wabash, Indiana on July 4, 1959. He retired in 2005 from Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield after 13 years and also worked 33 years at Kline Brothers Co. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Griffith of Springfield, 2 sons, James Brian (Susan) Griffith of Kewanee, Illinois, and Charles "Chuck" (Bronwen) Griffith of Park Rapids, Minnesota, 4 grandchildren, Christian (Lori) Griffith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Caleb (Diane) Griffith of Farmers City, Illinois, Chessa Griffith of Kewanee, and Madison Griffith of Park Rapids, great-granddaughter, Abigail Griffith of Farmers City, brother, James (Donna) Griffith of Mesa, Arizona, and 3 sisters, Pearl Hare, Dorothy Morris, and Regina Monroe, all of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Charles Griffith, and a sister, Betty Jo Griffith.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, March 20, 2015 at Wabash Freewill Baptist Church, 1056 E. Erie Street, Wabash, with Pastor Tod Masters officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 5 - 7 pm, Thursday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash and one hour prior to the service, at the church. Preferred memorial is Mercy Hospice, Springfield, Missouri.
