Helen A. Stanczak, 78, of Forked River, N.J. died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at home.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Layton's Home For Funeral, Forked River, N.J. Relatives and friends may arrive at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to prepare to celebrate a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at the Church of Saint Pius X, Forked River, N.J. Burial in Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Born in Irvington, N.J., Mrs. Stanczak lived in Kearny, N.J.;, before moving to Forked River in 2001. She retired 25 years ago from the accounting department of Congoleum, Kearny, N.J., after many years of employment. She was a parishioner of the Church of Saint Pius X, a member of the Women's Club of Kearny and the Women's Club of Lacey, and a volunteer for the Salvation Army, Kearny.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Eugene J. Stanczak; two sons, Michael and John; three daughters, Valerie Murphy, Donna Stanczak and Anemarie Hall; six grandchildren, Joseph, Alexandra, Samantha, Daniel, Owen and Molly, and a sister, Sheila Vogtman.
