Funeral services for Dale Edward Young of Cordele will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Penia Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Macclenny, FL at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 29 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Mr. Young, 60, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Born in Macclenny, FL, he was the son of Rosa Lee Starling and L.J. Young.
The owner and operator of Badcock Furniture Company, Mr. Young was an avid fisherman and Gator fan. He attended Penia Baptist Church.
Surviving him are his wife, of Cordele; his mother and step-father of Macclenny, FL; his father and his wife of Jacksonville, FL; children in Salem, AL, and Cordele; three brothers and their wives Macclenny, FL; a sister in Macclenny, FL; two grandchildren of Cordele; his mother-in-law Cordele; and a sister-in-law and her husband of Cordele.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Penia Baptist Church - Building Fund, 3738 Old Penia Road, Cordele, GA 31015.
