"Jay" passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends.

He will be missed for his love of life, great wit, beautiful eyes, smile, and infectious laugh.

He lit up the room whenever he was around. He was creative, artistic, a great horseman and carpenter. If you ever met him. . . you could not forget him.

He was filled with love for family and friends and at peace about leaving this earth. We were blessed to have known and love him.

Preceded in death by his brother, Raymond C. Memmott. Survived by his dear children and grandchildren: sons, Micah Jay Memmott (Laura), Marvin Jay Memmott, and Chester Tomas Memmott; daughters, Lara Memmott Pangburn and Julie Memmott Guerrero (Bobby); and grandchildren, Lily Brielle, Dylan, Gavin, Sophia, Harper, Morgan, and Broden; parents, Chester and Esther Memmott; brother, Robert F.; sisters, Joann, Susan, and Cindy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Scipio Cemetery, with a family gathering following in the Scipio Ward House.
