Ethel May Clemans, 92, Wheatfield, died on Sunday, May 3, 1992, at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso.
She was born on Sept. 30, 1899, in Surrey, Ind., to Lon and Amy Jessup Watson. She was married in Rensselaer on Feb. 26, 1916, to Charles P. Clemans who died in 1970.
A lifetime resident of Jasper County, she attended Surrey School and Parr School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethany Evangelical Church.
Survivors include; four sons, Cecil Clemans of Rensselaer, Richard Clemas of Leesburg, George Clemans of Wheatfield and Lester Clemans of Lafayette; one daughter, Deloes Clemans of Hastings, Neb; 29 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 37 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Watson of Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sons, three daughters, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 5 at 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6 at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Eveston Riser will officiate.
Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery.
