He married Ollie Roberts and they had these children: Helen Marie West, Jean Roberts, Marty Good, Fred Swafford, Earl Swafford, Wanda Lind, Edward Swafford, Reid Swafford Jr., Roy Swafford, Joyce Rexroat; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Burial in Manchester Memorial Gardens in Manchester, KY.
