MARTHA J. NICHOLSON was born in October 1827 in Tennessee, to ELIJAH DAVID NICHOLSON (1800 – 1867) and CHRISTINE JONES. She married JAMES ROGERS in 1841 in Tennessee. They had 10 children in 21 years. She died in 1911 in Richwoods, Arkansas, having lived a long life of 84 years.
