I visited the Jamestown Cemetery, in Jamestown, MI this afternoon. I was very moved by Carly's beautiful headstone and her young age at the time of her death. I came home and looked for information about her. Here is what I found:
Carly Fitzwater, age 15, of Hudsonville, was greeted by the Lord’s angels in Heaven on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. She joins in Heaven her grandparents, Henry and Judy Fitzwater. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Sherri Fitzwater and Bill Palmatter; her father, Michael Fitzwater; her siblings, Erin, Vinnie, and Hunter; her grandparents, Pam and Vincent Leale, Carol Palmatter; her great grandmother, Ethelyn Hilliker; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Rite of Christian Burial for Carly will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the VanderLaan Funeral Home Chapel with a luncheon to follow at St. Pius X Parish, 3937 Wilson Avenue, S.W. Grandville, Michigan 49418. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the VanderLaan Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ottawa Area Center.
