ed edit: When I read this memorial's bio, I noticed a few typographical errors. My correction would read as follows, with one issue still remaining (see the " *** " in and after the bio paragraph):

His great-great-grandfather was Domingo Fernandez of Spain, who was a large land holder in northeast Florida (including Amelia Island) in the late 1700's. Stewart's death was due to lung cancer.

***I am not sure what was meant by this: Peleliu was one island, but it was in the Palau Islands group. (This can be verified at: https://www.usmcu.edu/Research/Marine-Corps-History-Division/Brief-Histories/Marines-in-World-War-II/The-Battle-of-Peleliu, or by the top Google search results with the term Peleliu Islands.

[By the way, in case you wanted to hyperlink it, the great-great-grandfather referenced in the bio *appears* to have his own Find a Grave memorial at https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/41941297/domingo-figuerola-fernandez.]
