Mrs. McGregor, Lykesland, Dies; Service Today
Mrs. Angus M. McGregor, 82, of Lykesland died at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Providence hospital following several months of declining health and a serious illness of two weeks.
Mrs. McGregor, born April 22, 1868, was the former Mollie McLaurin of McColl, daughter of John F. McLaurin and Kittie Hubbard McLaurin. She was the widow of Angus M. McGregor who died July 24, 1942 and had lived in Lykesland since 1917.
Mrs. McGregor was a member of Shandon Presbyterian church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. W. F. Breedin of Bennettsville, Mrs. L. W. Bingham of Asheville, N. C., and Miss Kittie McGregor of Lykesland; five sons, the Rev. J. Rupert McGregor of Montreat, N. C., Ernest L. McGregor of Lykesland, A. Malloy McGregor of Rocky Mount, N. C., and Clarence H. McGregor of Lykesland; one sister, Mrs. C. C. Stokes of McColl; two brothers, Clarence McLaurin of Minturn and J. Melvin McLaurin of McColl; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock this afternoon from Shandon Presbyterian church with the Rev. Fred V. Poag officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial park.
Active pallbearers will be Edward Brown, Edward Clary, William McLaurin, Alexander Salley, Marsden Smith and John Raines.
