Mr. Bobby Lee Aaron, 89, of Liberty, MS, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 29, 2015. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his daughters. He was born July 1, 1925 in Shelby, MS, the son of Roy Roger Aaron and Allie Aline McManus Aaron.
He served his country in the Navy during World War ll and worked as heavy equipment operator in the construction field for over 69 years. He lived and worked for many years in Baton Rouge, LA. but his permanent home was Liberty, MS where he loved hunting, fishing, and his garden. He will always be remembered for his big "hugs" and his story telling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and sweetheart of 54 years, Myrtis Marie Wilson Aaron, his daughter, Brenda Faye Cloud Stamm, grandson, Joshua Glenn Evans, great-grandson, Micah Evans, and granddaughter, Melissa Dianne Doyle. Three Sons-in-Law, Mark J. Merritt, Henry "Hank" Kister, and Jeff Cloud, his sisters: Louise Dillon, Doris Craig, Peggy Braud, Gloria Jean Butler, Merle Catania, and Grace Freeman, his brothers: James Aaron, Jewell "J.C." Aaron and Robert "Bill" Aaron.
He is survived by six daughters, one son, 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 3, 2015, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, located at 6050 Highway 567, Liberty, MS where he was a lifelong member. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Bro. Merrill Blalock.
Pallbearers will be J.C. "Buddy" Aaron, Jeffery "Poss" Aaron, Charlie Howell, Al Gruntz, Mike Trim and Paul Malone. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sheriff Tim Wroten, Tim Perkins and lifetime friend, Don Shelton.
