Lois Ardell (Siercks) Jorgensen was born to her loving parents Gustav L. "Leo" and Anna Lina Maria Louisa "Annie"(Victor) Siercks on Tuesday September 2, 1924 at Wayne, Wayne County Nebraska. Lois was baptized on Sunday September 21, 1924 at a Lutheran Church at Wayne. Lois was raised on a rural farm near Arlington, Washington County. Lois attended St. Paul Lutheran elementary school and was confirmed there on Saturday May 8, 1937. Lois served in the Army (WAC) from January 1944 to March 1946, she received a Good Conduct and Victory medals. Lois was first united in marriage to her first husband Richard "Dick" Seaman on Tuesday September 2, 1947 at New York, New York County New York, they were blessed over the years of marriage with two children, a son and a daughter. Lois and Dick lived in the Blair, Washington County area and she was employed by the Western Electric at Omaha, Douglas County. Lois was united in marriage to a second husband Timothy "Timmy" Vice in 1964, the marriage was not made in heaven. Lois later was united in marriage to her third husband Edwin "Ed" Jorgensen on Saturday January 2, 1971 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Fremont, Dodge County. The couple first lived on a farm southwest of Hooper, Dodge County with the house GPS of 41.545610, -96.631811, they moved to Fremont in 1986. Lois was a member of the Fremont Trinity Lutheran. Ed and Lois cared deeply for each other, Ed would have lunch and spend time with Lois daily when she was at the Merrick Manor of Fremont. Sadly Lois passed at the Merrick Manor on Wednesday April 15, 1998 at the age of 73 years, 7 months, 13 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 26,888 days. Lois' funeral service was held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday April 18, 1998 with the Rev. David Leoschen officiating. Lois was interred in section a, lot 190, grave 12 in Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Fremont. The flag presentation was by the Fremont Honor Guard of the American Legion Post 20 and VFW Post 854. Marker inscription was "Wife and Mother". Lois' information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Lois by Loren R. a friend of her second husband Ed. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed.
