HUFFMAN, Newassa Isebel, 57, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, October 26, 1997, at her home. She was born September 8, 1940 in Rockbridge County, daughter of the late Harry Lee Huffman and Mary Agnor Huffman. She was a member of Falling Springs Presbyterian Church. She had worked at Modine for several years. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Penny A. Patterson and Michael Patterson of San Antonio, Texas; four sisters, Helen Hamilton and Sadie Durham of Buena Vista, Ernestine Shafer of Hampton and Maxine Shafer of Pennsylvania; five brothers, Harry Huffman Jr. and Garland Huffman, both of Buena Vista, Floyd Huffman of Utah, Lawrence Huffman of Maryland, and Herman Huffman of North Carolina; two grandchildren, Evan and Warren Patterson; two special friends, Eleanor Goodbar and Linda O'Conner. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Falling Springs Presbyterian Church with the Reverend H. Middleton Raynal officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice or Falling Springs Presbyterian Church.
