Mr. James Russell Barron, Jr., age 50 of Mt. Vernon, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. He was born in Rockcastle Co., KY on July 17, 1965 the son of Russell and Mattie McFerron Barron. He was a farmer and logger and loved auctions, collecting, and trading.

He is survived by his mother: Mattie Barron of Mt. Vernon; five brothers: Roger Barron and Ricky Barron, of Mt. Vernon, Billy and Karen Barron of Scaffold Cane, Bobby and Carolyn Barron and Andrew and Sheila Barron, of Blue Springs; two sisters: Brenda and Skeeter Cromer of High Dry, and Linda and Mark Callebs of Mt. Vernon; five nieces: Normagena Carpenter, Tiffany Barron, Becky Barron, Elizabeth Barron, and Kaitlyn Barron; two nephews: Danny Barron and Juston Barron; two great-nephews: Nathaniel Carpenter and Elijah Carpenter; two step-nephews: Thomas Griffin and Mitchell Griffin; and a very special friend: Sheila. He was preceded in death by his father: Russell Barron; and a brother: Danny Barron.
