Dorcas Lucille Miller, 86, of Berlin, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at Majora Lane Nursing Home in Millersburg, after a period of declining health.

She was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Millersburg to the late Palmer and Dona (Hershberger) Zook, and married Noah Miller June 21, 1946. He died in 1965.

She was the clerk of Holmes County Commons Pleas Court for 35 years, serving from 1977-2011, was a very talented seamstress, enjoyed cooking for her family and was an avid Hiland Hawk basketball fan.

She was a member of Ohio Clerk of Courts Association, serving as president in 1991; Republican Central Committee of Holmes County; Ohio Republican Women's Association; Holmes County Sports Hall of Fame selection committee, and received the Hall of Fame Senior Republican Women's Award.

First and foremost though she loved her personal Savior Jesus Christ.

Surviving are children, Ron (Evie) Miller of Canal Fulton, Ken (Barbara) Miller of Florida and Christine Miller of Millersburg; a grandson, Mark Miller; a step-granddaughter, Kelly (Jack) Whitney; several great grandchildren; a brother, Lowell Zook of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and very special close friends, Debra Wilson and Patty Kidney.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Julia Gerber; and a daughter-in-law, Florence Miller.

Services will be Saturday, Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. at Berlin Christian Fellowship, with Pastor David Stutzman officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery.
