Floyd Strickland and Mary Elizabeth Barber. He was known by
many as "Lee". Leander married Mary Frances Wood,"Fannie" and they had 8 children together. He was also a very successful business man. He was a farmer and owned many acers of land in
Meriwether County, Georgia, he also owned a saw mill, cotton gin, and several rental houses in and around Meriwether County. As well as co-owned a mercantile store. Today the
mercantile store no longer stands. And when he passed away on
March 11, 1914 he willed his land to his kids, most of the
land was sold or lost threw out the years.
