Gone but not forgotten--passed from this world Thursday morning, October 15, 2015 from the results of a stroke. Richard Lobnitz("Rick") was a member of the North 17th Street "Gang". He attended Washington Grade School, North Junior High School and Graduated from Boise High School Class of 1963. He was an early Hot Rodder and built a 1955 Chev 2 door Hardtop with a 409 Chev Motor which he raced at the Gowen Field Drags in the 60's. Rick served in the U S Army, Vietnam he was a combat veteran and was exposed to Agent Orange. Rick was proud of his military service and loved his country. He worked at Buttrey Foods and later at Rite Aid in the Sporting Goods Dept. Rick was a avid fisher man and hunter all of his life. He had many hunting dog companions, Britneys, Chesapeaks and Spaniels. He was predeceased by his Mother Lila Mae his sister Barbara and his father Virgil. He is survived by a brother and a daughter. He will be interred at the Veterans Cemetery in Boise at a later date.
