Yeoman 3rd Class Gregory Alton Watson was born on December 13, 1946 and had 2 years of service in the U.S. Navy, arriving in Vietnam assigned to the USS Coral Sea (CVA-43), Task Force 77 (TF-77), 7th Fleet.

On November 03, 1967 SN Gregory Watson died as a result of cardiac arrest while he was undergoing emergency surgery for a perforated terminal ilium. SN Gregory Watson was posthumously promoted from Seaman (SN) to Yeoman 3rd Class (YN3).
