James E. Overman, 67, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away October 14, 2011. He was born December 19, 1943 in Dayton, Kentucky to Alphonse "Yick" and Sylvia Overman. He served in the US Army Reserves for six years and worked for 22 years for the United Parcel Service (UPS) in Cincinnati, OH. He moved to Florida June of 1985 from Newport, KY and became the owner/operator of Dumas Concrete Specialties in Charlotte Harbor before retiring. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Punta Gorda Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy (nee Gastright) Overman of Punta Gorda, FL; son, Jim Overman of Moretown, VT; brother, Paul (Joanne) Overman of Ft Thomas, KY; sister, Mary Sue Rice of Cold Spring, KY; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
